Our 5 Top Boat Photos for Spring

Whether you're a sailor, an angler, or a celebrity hound, these five boating photos of the spring shouldn't be missed.

Warmer weather has finally arrived, and that means everyone is flocking to the boat yard to do their spring maintenance chores, builders are launching new hulls, and anglers are prepping up for the hot bite. These days, thanks to modern cell phones everyone has a camera at all times, and that means there are bazillions of spring boating pictures flooding the internet. Some are awesome, some are merely okay, and some are best left un-viewed, but it would take you the rest of the year to get through them all. So we’ve picked out five top boat photos of the spring from boats.com and put them all here in one place, for your enjoyment.

1. Foulies Required

Here’s a dramatic shot of the Seascape 27, which was tested and reviewed by Michael Good. We hope everyone on-board has heard of Gill.

2. Pre-launch Panache

Just a week ago, Azimut, in Viareggio, Italy, launched a 95 foot beauty called the Grande. This picture of it being towed to the launch caught our eye.

3. Bird Brain

This pelican refused to move out of the way, as a 24 Yellowfin bay boat approached the dock to pick us up for a day of boat-test fishing in Hawk’s Key, Florida.

4. Royal Victory

What good is a top 5 photo story without a celebrity sighting? This shot of the Dutchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, still wearing her inflatable PFD, comes to us from our sister-site in the UK. She’s grinning because she just won a race sailing against the future king (her husband Prince William) on a pair of former Team New Zealand America’s Cup yachts.

5. All Hail the Chief

Fire-red gel coat and snow create quite a contrast, as Chief gets this 42 foot, 1,450-hp V-bottom ready for an early harbinger of spring, the Miami Boat Show.
