Picture This: A Bugatti Veyron Speedboat

Don't Get Sick In This Boat

The Bugatti Veyron is a French sports car with a $2,500,000 MSRP and $300,000 in annual operating costs. The average monthly insurance bill is $2,500, and at 8 mpg, drivers average $140 per visit to the pump to fill that 26.4 gallon gas tank. This is a car for the driver who doesn’t mind swiping twice.

A familiar exercise for anyone that’s ever filled their boat on the trailer. Double swipes probably weren’t why designer Ben Walsh envisioned the Bugatti Veyron Speedboat, but it’s as good a transition as any.

So next stop, Cloud City. Here are five pictures of the ‘aspiring’ world’s most impractical boat, inspired by the world’s most impractical car:

Fun to look at? Sure. Fun to drive? Depends if you like the wind in your hair or the ability to, um, expel fluids overboard at a moments notice. Because neither of these options seem to come standard. What a deal.
