boats.com: New Look, Same Great Information

We've redesigned the boats.com homepage to make things easier for you.

We’ve made some changes on boats.com, but all your favorites are still here.

If you’re a regular visitor to the boats.com site, you’ve probably noticed a dramatically new look and feel. We’re pretty excited about taking this next step toward making the site easier to use, while still providing the same great information you’re used to.

Eastern 22

You can still search for boats like this Eastern 22 on our site, from the boats.com homepage.

Learn, Watch, Laugh

With over 7000 articles and boat reviews, we’ve revamped our articles landing page so you can find what you’re searching for. Learn how to paint a boat, read a review of the Great Harbour N37 trawler, watch a video about how to choose the best anchor, learn the difference between a sports and an express cruiser, or share a laugh about whether fishing or sailing is more fun. (Authors Lenny Rudow and Zuzana Prochazka think the other’s addiction would require therapy.)

Not sure what you’re looking for? Browse by the most popular boat type.

And if you’ve got a story you’d like to see on our site, please send your ideas to editor@boats.com.

Search for a boat

The look may have changed, but our search box (in the left column of the home page) works the same way it used to. Enter a model name, or a keyword like “pontoon boat,” and make sure to include your ZIP code and set the distance away you’d like to search. With more than 350,000 boats listed on the site, chances are we’ve got what you’re looking for.

Like the new look? Let us know in the comments below, or share with us what you think we could do better. Thanks for reading, happy holidays, and see you on the water.

  1. Pictures are a key component and the new format is really deficient by not being able to make the pictures very large, and, by not being able to click the enlarged photo to go back and forward to scroll through the pictures with enlarged images.

  2. Rick, thanks for your feedback. We will look into options for enlarging photos.

  3. Josh, thanks for the note. We’re looking into the search issue you addressed. Have a great holiday.

  4. Josh, after discussion with our engineers, there are times when an overlap between postal codes can cause boats in another country to show up in your search. Thanks for your comment; we plan to refine our search process in the next couple of months with that and other improvements in mind.

  5. it takes all day to get to a gradywhite boats for sale.

  6. Well the first thing that I noticed was that you are not indicating which boats are “Pending”. That is a big deal.

Also, and I am sure you know this by now, but your sister site yachtworld.com (US) has totally crashed. Getting close to 24hours now.

  7. Brian, can you send a link for what you’re seeing (or not seeing) for “Pending” to editor@boats.com?

Thanks for the heads up about YachtWorld. It’s back up and running again as of this morning.
