Fiberglass Pontoon Boat. Really?

Yup, it's true. Pontoons aren't just aluminum anymore. Carolina Skiff has created a 21 foot pontoon boat made out of our favorite salt-resistant material, fiberglass.

Just in time for the summer boating season, we have a new player in the popular pontoon market: a 21-foot 4-inch all-fiberglass boat designed with a nod to the growing popularity of pontoons in coastal markets.Fiberglass-Pontoon-fimage

The Fun Chaser hull has a one-piece catamaran-type bottom topped with a perfectly flat fiberglass deck, to which fiberglass seat bases are mounted. The outboard face of the seat bases form the “sides” of the boat. The seating is typical for a pontoon, with a pair of facing lounges forward and a wrap-around aft lounge in the port corner.

Since the deck is cut away so the stowage compartment under each seat goes down into the hull, the space is so generous that reviewer Charles Plueddeman was able to climb into one. Watch the video to see:
