Which Boat Shoes Are the Best?

Most of us like to put our best foot forward — even on the boat.

Last month, Lenny Rudow rounded up the best boots for boaters (“Feet don’t get no respect”), citing Crocs, Evair, Kamik, LaCrosse and LL Bean as some of the front runners. But that got me thinking, for those of us who don’t necessarily deal with, um, fish guts, which deck shoes are the best?

Whenever I hear “boat shoes,” I always envision something along the lines of these Bass shoes:

But there are so many other options. We love this nautical-inspired pattern for women:

And a quick perusal of the interwebs turns out funkier options like these sailing Sperrys:

And don’t forget the water-friendly SWIMS:

Which boat shoes really knock your socks off? Consider the following:

  • Comfort
  • Functionality
  • Style (No judgment here. We like to look good, too!)

Also note how much time you spend on the water. (A few hours in good weather? Every weekend? Month-long trips to St. Croix?)

Ready for some new footwear? We’ve got it, at the Boats.com Gear and Parts store.
