MarineMax Revises Boating Gear Center Website
The Florida-based marine mega-retailer introduces a major upgrade to its e-commerce website.
MarineMax is known as the biggest boat retailer in the country, with 57 locations around the U.S., representing brands as diverse as SeaRay, Boston Whaler, Bayliner, Nautique, and Hatteras.
The MarineMax chandlery website, Boating Gear Center, has recently undergone a major refit, with a newly streamlined and simplified user interface and improved search functions.
Registered members at Boating Gear Center get access to deeper discounts and special deals.
Primary gear categories on the e-commerce site include:
- Outboard Motors
- Electronics
- Dock & Anchor
- Clothing
- Boat Covers
- Boat Care
- Fishing
- Boat Parts
- Trailer Parts
- Safety
- Water Sports
The new site has sections for clearance sales, daily specials, and other discount offers, and can launch recommendations and promotions based on user behavior. There’s a Rewards Club that allows up to 60-percent savings on some gear, and at the Premium level offers the benefits of SeaTow Gold and MarinaLife Captain’s Club memberships. Special attention is given to easing the difficulty of searching for particular engine parts and boat covers.
Shoppers who register as members are given access to deeper discounts, promotions, partner memberships, and more detailed product information and support. Registered users can leave star ratings and review comments on boat gear.
