Win a Racing Sailboat

Support a high quality Snipe class documentary project and you might just win a sailboat.

Okay, I have to admit right up front: I have a vested interest in promoting the Snipe class.  As an active class member, I too will benefit (though not financially) from convincing someone new to join the class. But this is too good a deal to let a little conflict of interest stand in the way. Because you could win a Snipe—a fifteen foot two person sailboat—in sailaway condition for a donation of $250.

Snipe sailing has offered Serious Sailing, Serious Fun to sailors around the world for 80 years.

Class veteran Jerry Thompson has put up his boat. Vince Casalaina, videographer extraordinaire, has done the rest—created a raffle to raise money for his documentary of the class, Serious Sailing, Serious Fun: Traditions Build Winners.

Only fifteen days remain to donate to this great cause. Donations will be accepted in any amount.  And since Vince has set up the fund drive through Kickstarter, if the project doesn’t fly you get your money back. The Snipe class turns 80 this year, and this would be a great birthday present. Please donate, and help support the history of a great class that has created several Olympians—including me.

Even better, you might walk away with a new boat.
